I had spent the night at Mr. Lian’s ่ฟๅ ็ place. Mr. Lian owns a little shop next to the road, and he’s also head of the little settlement of Taipingpu:
Nobody had told me about that the night before though, and I realized it only in the morning when I got up and Mr. Lian was hosting an event with a bunch of officials from the city:
It was a formal celebration of the beginning of construction on some new buildings next to the highway:
The whole village was there:
Oh, I got so bored after a while though… I guess I’m just not cut out for this kind of ceremony.
It was all speech following after speech, and applause after applause:
Until an inferno of firecrackers finally marked the end:
…and when it was all over, the little kids came out of their classrooms and claimed their stools back:
Cheered me up.

When I finally got on the road around noon, I felt very tired.

Scheinen ja gefährliche Reden zu sein, wenn alle einen Helm tragen. Und wenn das das ganze Dorf war, was wollen die mit so einem riesen Gebäude?
Friedhöfe finde ich auch immer wieder äußerst interessant. Ich mache manchmal auf einem in Hannover ein Nickerchen in der Mittagspause. Herrlich diese Ruhe. Leider arbeite ich dort nicht so oft. Und im Winter ist es mir natürlich auch zu ungemütlich.
Und ich frage nicht nach den 3000 für den morgigen Tag. Immer schön Schritt für Schritt (und wir lesen mit)

ich denke friedhöfe sind etwas besonderes wegen der vielen geschichten – schon vergessen oder nicht – der leute die dort mit ihnen liegen und auch der leute die sie begraben haben.

Friedhöfe mag ich auch. Sie strahlen eine besonderere Ruhe aus und bergen, wie jule schon sagt, unendlich viele Geschichten und Geheimnisse. Ausserdem interessieren mich Beisetzungszeremonien unterschiedlichster Kulturen. Zum Beispiel die vom 19.1. fand ich sehr beeindruckend.
