where?
Friday, October 7th, 2011Remember the book that came out last week? Well, last night was a sort of show / release party for said book.
And since it was in Munich, and I was in Munich, I got an invitation to appear on stage.
So I put on my favorite shirt, got dinner at my favorite restaurant, had a few shots to boost up my morale, and then I sped to the place that I thought was the venue.
It had been the venue two years ago.
But this time it wasn’t.
And now another thing sorta backfired: being confined to working at home most of the time, I had ditched my cellphone a year ago and never gotten a new one.
So I rode around frantically in taxi cabs, and I eventually made it to the party after everything was over and I wasn’t sober anymore.
One question was hovering in the air though:
- Just how can you walk through China, if you can’t even find a place that you’ve been invited to in the town where you live?
Yep.
Anyway, I learned that:
Danzka is a very sweet vodka. It burns in the mouth rather than in the throat, and it’s mainly fun because it tastes so sweet. I’d give it an 8/10.
And:
Vox (from the Netherlands) is an okay vodka. It works okay in a mixer, but it goes down rather harsh as a shot. A 6/10 maybe?
What a fun night!
