Tried something new the other day:

Starka – Polish vodka that has apparently aged 10 years in an oak barrel. Looked kinda like whiskey to me, and I was like: “Well this is going to be nice!”

And then it was horrible.

The stuff didn’t have the round, fulfilling aroma of a good whiskey, and it didn’t have the smooth honest freshness of a good vodka either. It was just very rough to deal with, and up to now I still have no idea what to mix with it to make it bearable.

Starka? Not for me. 2/10.
