Donuts, donuts, donuts:

Don’t know what to tell you, except that I feel great sympathy for all donuts, and especially for the ones that are filled with Bavarian cream:

They’re the best.

Today was the finest day!

1) Two beautiful people tied the knot
2) I got very drunk and talked about Steven Seagal and Anthony Soprano a lot
3) and then the most magical thing happened:

Unfortunately, it didn’t touch down, but I was mesmerized by it anyway… The skies turning green… the tornado sirens ringing… the wind getting more and more fierce…

I felt transported back to the spring of 1999, when my Turkish friend Ali and I were constantly excited about the weather. Our biggest dream was to document a tornado.

But when it happened – and parts of Kansas and Oklahoma were wiped out – all we got were a few hours in the basement, a lot of destruction in the city…

…and some pretty nice clouds:

“Oh well,” we said: “after all, tomorrow is another day.”

Soundtrack: Anita Ward – “Ring My Bell”
