Having been rejected by many a hotel the night before, I eventually managed to find an awesome place that offered room and board in a stadium:

There was a school competition going on right outside of my window, so I tried to capture a timelapse of the preparations:

Well, to tell you the truth, I was still worried sick over my visa application.
So today, I decided to resort to an ancient Chinese tradition: 关系 (guanxi – relations):

I called someone who called someone. That person in turn called someone else, who then called me and told me that I would get a call from a different person later.

So I waited for the call.
