deuce
Sunday, August 1st, 2010When I used to think about Russia, I imagined it to be almost totally grey (and overflowing with vodka).
I guess the world will always forgive us a great part of our prejudice and ignorance, because once again, this morning I was greeted with this:
Russia vs. Chris = 1:0
Nice!
My friends Rada and Sergej took me on a long walk around town:
We were looking for the ocean, and when we passed the train station I figured we were on the right way:
There it was, the Russian city on the shores of the Japanese Sea:
We walked towards a small lighthouse I had located on a map…
…only to find out that others had found it before us:
People were using every square inch they could find…
…and it looked like they were really having a good time:
Oh, how I loathed the fact that I had left my swim trunks at home!
Maybe next time I could cram in somewhere between them?
Next time!
Today, it was just going to be about walking around and taking pictures:
Oh, and I found out another thing – Russians really DO have a large variety of vodka:
This is good in two ways:
1) Maybe I’ll get a chance to try some of that stuff?
2) This totally matched my initial prejudice!
Russia vs. Chris = 1:1
What a nice place!
