offensive sauna dude
Fill with distaste; cause aversion in; offend the moral sense of.
Disgust.
…
Believe me, I have had my share of bad-ass loos in China:
…but nothing could be as revolting as the “health club” I am visiting here in Munich, Germany.
I have to admit that the place is actually quite clean. Even the people here tend to be very hygienic – they even have a sort of blank stare in their eyes. I guess I can’t blame them for that.
The problem is the sauna though: the other day I was hanging out in a relaxing 80 °C, when this dude comes in, stretches himself out on his towel, and starts producing the most disgusting sounds I have ever heard.
I mean, WTF, is it really absolutely necessary to be constantly wiping yourself around the thighs and the stomach in a public sauna? Who told you it was okay to be sprinkling your sweat all over the place? And what the hell is it with all the moaning and groaning? Be quiet, fool!
I was so disgusted I could only stare at the wall and think of the desert.
Wishing I was there.
And not here.

Chris, i have to admit, i’m glad to have read that. Glad that some men tend to do that in general and not only when there’s female sauna-company around. sometimes it gets so annoying that i start to see the sense in segregated saunas. and: how come it’s always the gross guys behaving like that? It never is the cute hottie… damn…
summer is so nonexistent, maybe i should go to the sauna as well this week.
a big aloha from a fellow desert-lover…

Hey!
I just saw your video and it’s soo inspiring! Yes, because from a while ago a friend and I have an idea like yours, but it’s walking along our own country: the thinest, largest and southest of the world!
Well, we have a lot of work to do first in order to achieve our goal, but your story helps us to confirm that we can also make our daydreams come true.
Thank you for sharing your adventure!!
