I(H)C04 β Ice & light
The Northeastern parts of China can get extremely cold during the winter, with daytime temperatures easily dropping to a chilly -20Β° or -30Β° degrees Celsius.
I can only imagine the hardships of the past, when the people had to struggle each year only to live through the cold season.
Today it is different though, the wonders of modernization have improved living standards, and every year during winter, the city of Harbin likes to celebrate the cold and dark…
Harbin, January 18th 2007.
…by constructing a world of ice and light.
