My hotel seems almost completely deserted during most of the day:
There’s a KTV-karaoke place on the second floor:
Sometimes I can hear people sing, but I never go in.
Rather I’d hang out in the little shop next door:
Look at shelves full of wieners:
And because I’m so bored, I created a Google Earth file in the links section of the site.
Additionally, I’ve typed up the first week of Paris to Bad Nenndorf in 2003. It’s all in German though, and the pictures are crap, sorry about that.

so eine Würstchen-Palette und dann noch nicht mal ein Kommentar? Da kannst du ja nur Depressionen kriegen. Also: erinnere dich an die tollen Eindrücke der letzten Woche (siehe Fottos) und lies, was Goethe dazu gemeint hat: Auf denn, nicht träge denn, strebend und hoffend hinan!

-> Mach ein deftiges Dampfbad, iß'ein paar Pampelmusen & Kiwi's, hau Dich in die Koje, schau Dir die Bilder der letzten Tage an, trink ein paar "gude fedde Grogs" dabei und dann schlaf, schlaf, schlaf bis Du nicht mehr kannst…!!!
Und dann: smile und move on!
(die echten harten Zeiten kommen erst noch!!!)

Zu den Gummibärchen: Ja, man kann sie natürlich noch essen. Die Frage ist, ob sie dann noch schmecken… Wohl eher nicht :D

The new Google Earth file is so user friendly. It is much easier and faster to see your whole route and fotos than in 'Where I am" and the little map! Get well soon, Chris!

Den Beginn Deines Reiseberichtes Paris-BND hab'ich gelesen- ist köstlich, Dich in Deiner Muttersprache schreiben zu lesen!!! Sehr amüsant! Bin gespannt, wie's Puki wohl weiterergehen mag und ob Knarf rechtzeitig daheim "ankommen mochte". Gibt's da auch eine Vorgeschichte?…so in medias res gesettzt fehlen einem da leider schon einige Zusammenhänge (auch eine aufklärende Bilderflut ob des berüchtigten Arsches von Salad wäre sinnvoll ;o))

What a great project you have!
On a side note: you are aware that there will be a total eclipse of the sun on August 1st visible in China? Check out this link: http://www.eclipse-chasers.com/e08/ecl2008.htm
You can take decent photos of the sun and the eclipse by simple means: take a space blanket (Isodecke, diese metallbedampften Folien) and put them firmly on your lens (with the help of a rubber band). Worked for me at the eclipse 1999 in southern Germany.

Hi Christoph, schlage vor, du verdrückst ein Paket Wiener, begibst dich in die Karaokebar (staune sowieso, dass in Asien offenbar an jeder Ecke Karaoke-Bars gibt), zischt ein chinesisches Bier und singst dann: Björk: Human behaviour. Natürlich filmst du das und stellst es ins Netz. Bestehe aber nicht auf Björk. Es darf auch ein anderes Lied sein. Also los, mach schon, wir wollen Sensationen…

hey christoph,
love the pic files in the links section, but i cannot access the thin red line link. i don't think the .tmz file is readable with my mac, and i tried on a pc too with no luck. what can i do? any one have ideas? and i hope the cold is better. take care!!!
