walking from Beijing to Bad Nenndorf
Tuesday, September 16th, 2008day 313: 星星峡 (xingxingxia) = 0km
I found some good things in 星星峡 (xingxingxia).
First I found food, then I found a friend:
Abduweli, who’s not only a cargo hygiene inspector but also a photography enthusiast, immediately understood my wish to leave a graffito on the rocks and helped me come up with a can of spray paint.
Yes, that’s right:
We got the cameras and a tall ladder, then we picked out a good piece of rock and I started spraying away while Abduweli was in charge of taking pictures.
I think he did an especially great job portraying my strong legs and firm derriere:
Really, an excellent job! Thanks, Abdu!!
I included a video that I dubbed over with the sound of a 10-year-old telling a joke in a restaurant:
The joke is about a German, an American, and a Chinese dude, and it involves a fart in a cave.
The video footage has me using up the black spray paint and then waiting for Abduweli to come up with a can of red paint.
When that one is used up as well, the video eventually stops because the memory chip runs of out space.
…
Abduweli didn’t run out of ideas though, so he eventually got me this oil-based paint and a brush to finish the job:
Et voilà:
“Walking from Beijing to Bad Nenndorf / Chris Rehage / 2008-9-16 / 我从北京徒步到德国 / 经此留念 / 雷克 / www.thelongestway.com”
I’ll leave a marker in the GE-file to point out where to find this.
