weather conditions are subject to change

I told you it had been pretty hot the last two days, and also that I was staying in a hotel with no heating last night.
Because it had been so hot.
Well, it wasn’t so hot at all when I woke up and stepped outside to have a look:
Not that bad?
Okay, how about this one:
Or another accident testimonial:
Landscapes went back to their usual white&gray combinations:
It felt kind of hopeless, and I somehow got water in my shoes, too:
Once I stopped at a gas station and asked if I could sit down for a while and have some of the chocolate and ice-tea I was carrying:
Well, when I woke up again more than an hour had gone by, and the folks from the gas station were looking at me.
They were obviously wondering what the hell was going on.
I explained that I was on a walk to 西安 (Xi’an), then I shouldered my backpack and got back on the highway:
After a brief interlude that made me realize that I must have had something bad to eat earlier that day, I was very happy to arrive in what has been called “civilization” earlier:
You know those banners that marathon-runners break through once they get to the finish line?
Well today I had one of those banners too, I think:
I didn’t break through it though, because it was too high and I was too tired, and there was nobody to welcome me either.
But anyways I was very very happy to arrive in a safe haven after all this mess today.
A haven nice and warm, complete with linen and porcelain.
