Monday, February 11th, 2008day 95: 运城 (yuncheng) = 0km
It’s really about time I get going again – add some mileage to the track.
The thing is: I’m not supposed to stay in a single place too long, otherwise I’m afraid I won’t make it home before I’m thirty.
运城 was good though, lots of friendly people; but in the end, I didn’t succeed in purchasing any of the things I wanted:
No tripod, no therma-rest, no walking sticks.
I washed my socks today and put them out to dry:
Then I got some pictures printed and sent them to the people who I had photographed on the way:
Besides that, I didn’t do much. I finished that awful book I had been struggling with over the last three months.
I had lots of apples and yogurt drinks.
Anyhow, I was going to go to bed early tonight, which turned out impossible, because at about 11pm my good friend 胡哥 (big brother hu) called me up and said we HAD to meet up in a teahouse, first of all because he had gotten a 关羽 (guanyu)-talisman for me, second because some other friends were in that teahouse waiting for us – and third and most important because we were friends and I couldn’t just leave off like that.
Now that made some sense, but little did I know that with all the alcohol consumption that night, they might have as well turned the poor teahouse into a schnaps distillery.
I got to bed very late of course.
Now it’s 11:38 the next morning, I’m looking at the map, once again realizing what is laying ahead of me, and I think it’s really about time.
Time to get going.
