day 47: 平遥 (pingyao) = 0km

We spent Christmas hanging out in the Old Town:

Of course I miss my home over Christmas, but Juli really brightened up my day.

…plus she took me to have a good sirloin steak with french fries in one of the restaurants primarily serving to foreigners.

This is in fact a major difference to most of the other old towns I’ve come through on the way here:

平遥 (pingyao) is heavily focused on Westerners.

What’s funny though is there are so many of these, literally for sale on every corner:
