day 11: 保定 (baoding) – 保定 (baoding) = 5,8km

Last night, 朱辉 and I had a last TV supper:

Chicken, chips and coke. Jet Li on the TV. Nice.

The next day my friend left for good:

He was going to ride the 130km to 石家庄 (shijiazhuang) all in one day – I think I’m going to need at least 5 times longer than that though…

- BUT FIRST WAIT FOR THE LENSE -

…so I was left with virtually nothing to do in 保定. Given the fact that my feet allow me to walk a little by now, I decided to change hotels, thus decreasing the distance between me and my next target city by another 5km or so. On the way I got into a little argument with a construction worker about this picture:

I was really just enjoying the lights and contrasts in this particular scene, but the dude seemed to think that I was an evil journalist or a spy of some sort. Alas!

Then, in the afternoon, 3 friends from Beijing appeared:

白昕 (bai xin) was driving, and he brought with him:

The beautiful 施懿航 (shi yihang), and:

施懿珈 (shi yijia). Look pretty much alike?

Yeah, I think so too. This has been the first time I’ve taken this kind of photographs of twins. Not that easy actually, but fun nonetheless!
